The Makuta known only as "The Rival" is the creator of the Rahkshi Xara and Vyper, and has an adversarial relationship with Gorast.
Appearance[]
She is known to take on the appearance of Rahkshi of various variations when interacting with her children, albeit far larger and more intimidating than any normal rahkshi could be.
The form/s she chooses to take when speaking with Makuta or other being is currently unknown.
Personality[]
"The Rival" is known to share many characteristic with Gorast - both have fierce temperaments and are proud, skilled warriors. However, where Gorast has fanatical faith in Teridax's master plan, "The Rival" couldn't care less, absorbed as she is in her own personal goals.
Her primary goal seems to be a rather simple one - raise an army of the most skilled New Breed rahkshi in existence.

As with all Makuta, she has access to all 42 kraata powers, as well as flight, shadows and telepathy.
Relationships[]
- Xara - the first of her rahkshi to surpass all she could teach, "The Rival" sent her to Corpus Rahkshi to further her skills.
- Vyper - as with her sister before her, Vyper's skills reached the point where there was nothing more to teach her.
- Gorast - although the exact reasons are unknown, it is common knowledge that there exists an intense rivalry between Gorast and "The Rival", hence her title.
Bio[]
Created by Mata Nui from antidermis along with the rest of the Makuta, "The Rival" kept largely to herself, staying out of the affairs of the rest of the universe to pursue her own ends. Although she has chased down and conquered many different goals over the centuries, her current dream is to create an army of the most powerful, most intelligent new breed rahkshi in existence.
What she wants this army for is anybody's guess, but there is much speculation as to whether her motivation is something as simple as bragging rights.

- Although she has yet to actually feature in the game in any way, "The Rival" has had a massive influence on the lives of her Rahkshi.
- All of her Rahkshi exhibit some similar traits - purple eyes, fierce determination, and almost total devotion to a single goal or dream.
